St. Louis Community College has a history of serving deaf and hard of hearing students. Some specialized services offered to deaf and hard of hearing students are: counselors and advisors skilled in sign language, Typewell transcription services, an interpreter coordinator who hires, trains, and mentors in-house interpreters, Theatre of the Deaf, Interpreter Traning Program on campus, and On-campus social activities for deaf and hard of hearing students.
