Information Regarding Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Regional Center

 

Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)

the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation assists individuals with physical or mental disabilities in becoming employable. Services include diagnostic and evaluation services to help establish eligibility, physical restoration, guidance and counseling, and training. If possible, make certain that the intake process at DVR takes place in the last year of high school prior to graduation.

Regional Center

The Regional Center provides a variety of services to eligible individuals. To be eligible for services, an individual must have a mental or physical disability that manifested prior to the age of 22 and results in functional limitations in two or more major life areas. Each individual is assigned a case manager who helps assess needs, develop a plan, and procure services. Services may include family/individual support, counseling, training, therapies, and residential services.
